Blender 3D: Info Update and Stuffs

At last! Another post after some long meaning/ful/less break! Anyway, Life Update first... well, not much to say... My speech has improved a lot, all thanks to the Speech Therapy, also, I've been doing some other businesses (USANA and other sidelines) aside from being an employee to improve my socializing skill. But mostly, been tinkering with Blender 3D for the past few months and been using it for 3D Perspective for some presentations. There's a lot of improvement that happened after I started using it some years ago and it's quite amazing as always it's hard to list the changes. As of now, I'm still trying to get used to the "Cycles" render engine. Some say it will someday replace the "Internal Render."

Rendered with Blender Cycles

IMHO, Material creation wise,  Blender Internal is much easier to manipulate than Cycles but Shading & Lighting wise Cycles wins (or maybe I just suck at shading and lighting with Blender Internals). I also kind of like how easy it is to add Images with Transparency in Blender Internal compared to Cycles where you need to have Alpha Image and Color Image separated in a file. One thing I still don't get is Compositing, and I've always fried my brain just trying to improve the image with Compositing... Anyway, the latest version right now is 2.63, and compared to the first one I used, a lot has been added. Particularly one the most notable is "Cycles" but that's not the only thing, it's now in "BMesh (click for a video information)." It also now has its built in "Camera Tracker" and "Object Tracker" for those who wants to integrate 3D Animation in their own videos!

You could also set your own shortcuts and stuffs and the interface is much more informative than before. All in all, a lot has been added but the software size didn't drastically double nor the speed reduced! Anyway, that's all for some 3D Information again.

Before I forget again!

DISCLAIMER: Aside from the rigging, I didn't make the model. It's from Teatime's Love Death 2's Touhou MOD.

You can find their website here, beware though, it's Japanese and NOT SAFE FOR WORK

  1. Question... Were you previously known as "Arari" or "Cybelle" online at some point?
